Janet L asked:

I would like to create a website, but I have no experience and I don’t know any programming languages - so I need something simple. I would like the members of the website to be able to interact with each other - either by messaging each other, or though group forums. Is there a way that I can do this for free? Thanks!

You can install free web-based forum like phpBB ( ). You still need to have web hosting and domain name, which are cheap and sometimes free (although free ones usually aren’t reliable).

You could start up a yahoo group and be the main operator of the forum. Just go to yahoo groups and select start a group…the downfall is you may have a lot of people interested but because you run the forum you can choose who has access…this prevents some questionable people (like spammers and such) from accessing the site.

Real forums require databases, which means you’d have to have real hosting to do it on your own site.

Check out a free forum hosting search.

Here is a great website that will help you step by step & tell you everything that is involved with making a website… You can find some links to tutorials on online schools there too just to help you along. I am not real good with with forums but i think you would go to phpbb.com or something.
Webman is that you going around putting thumbs down on everyone??
