I am needing to create a website for someone and I am wondering what program would be best to use to do this with. It doesn’t matter if it is free or not, I am just looking for suggestions.

Dreamweaver, but it takes a while to learn, almost requires a class, and you should know HTML & CSs so it’s easier to use.

Honestly it depends completely on what you want to do. The answers above me are right if you’re very hands-on and have awhile to learn the program. Microsoft Front Page is older and more cookie-cutter, but probably easier to use. Or if you’re okay with using a theme, you can use Wordpress which is probably the most modern, but it’s best for blog sites.

No matter what you choose you’ll need time, but Wordpress is easiest to use and Dream Weaver lets you do the most customization.

Keep it simple, use a plain text editor. That’s the only way you’ll really learn to code.

Notepad++ I recommend. It’s free and has superb syntax highlighting.
